Now and then I like to browse through the
local thrift stores during my lunch hour
and recently this item caught my eye. The
inscription says that it is a souvenir of
Parral, Chihuahua. This is a city in
Northwestern Mexico and I believe the
painting depicts the Parral River.
Anyway, it appears to be a pen holder but
was missing the pen, so I thought I might
make one for it made from a matching
wood. So (finally) here's my question: what sort
of wood do you think this is made from?
