another buffing question

i understand the beall buffing sequence...tripoli, white diamond then wax. if i wanted to put MYLANDS FP on a mesquite pen, would it be b4 the wax wheel or after? or at all? thanks

Sorry, but my opinion would be to put the friction polish on the top shelf, out of reach.

i'm going to have to agree with cav on this one. if you're going to buff it with those products, try using a few coats of sanding sealer (if you don't want to do a CA type finish) after you're happy with the sanding, do the last few grits of micro mesh and then buff it. i've done quite a few bottle stoppers with this method and the shine ends up pretty nice.

but if you do want to use the FP, i'd put it on last since it's a fairly fragile finish and the buffing might harm it... i can't say that's from experience though.
