anniversary present

i've admired a fella named Bob Chapman's earring stands for a while now and really wanted to make one for my wife for our first anniversary. here's my stab at an earring stand/ring holder/little tray for whatever. the base part is turned from sycamore that gary max sent me a long time ago and the finial/ring holder is tulipwood. this thing was a blast to make. i've got a few pdf's that Bob Chapman sent me with some nice pictures of the process. if you'd care to have those, PM me and i'd be happy to send them along. thanks for looking.
