This video has absolutely nothing to do with pen turning, but is an interesting take on the urethane vs polyester resin casting. Also has some good tips on casting in general.

Thanks for the video. I use mostly polyurethane resin. It is easier and less brittle than polyester. There's almost no odor with polyurethane. The only reason I use polyester resin is that the polyurethane doesn't like some materials so I put up with the smell and brittleness with the polyester.

Thanks for the link. He seems to be sold on polyurethane. Is there any experience here with that?

Thought I'd bump this one once to add a link that I posted a few years ago. This one is a text link from a model maker in robotics--again nothing to do with turning, but if you have any interest other types of casting this is a good reference. Also helps that he is in the US rather than the UK so the brands that he talks about are more likely to be available.
