I saw your post on race day. I didn't even read it because I recorded it and I was afraid you'd say who won:biggrin: I'm a big F1 fan, been watching it since the early 90s.

Unfortunately, F1 doesn't seem to be as popular in the U.S. as it is in the rest of the world. But, from what I understand the race was a sellout at 120,000 spectators. Hopefully hosting a couple of F1 races in the states will raise the awareness and popularity.

I watched the race live. The track looks great. Just like Texas big fast and wide. Actually saw some passing which is rare in F1. A F1 car actually produces more downforce than the weight of the car. If you could do it the car would stick on the track if it were upside down defying gravity.

I'm glad someone else said it. No one believes me when I say they could hang from the roof of a wind tunnel by themselves. Just lifting off the gas, they have more braking force than most cars have with the brakes full on.

The pit stops are getting so much faster too. There were at least 4 pit stops where they changed 4 tires and the cars were stationary for less than 3 seconds!

There was supposed to be another race on a street course in New Jersey but they couldn't get it ready in time. It's on the schedule for next year though.

I want to brag a little. My Grandson works for Manitou here and was selected to go there and operate a forklift to pick the cars up when necessary. He had a great time and an experience he will nevere forget.

Thanks for letting me brag.

Happy Thanksgiving to all.

That's actually saying a lot. They said during the race that all the people working the track were hand picked from the U.S. and something like 23 different countries. And at a couple million dollars a piece, they don't want just any Joe picking up those cars. Congrats.
