Amboyna Burl and Gus

I've been way too busy this year to get much play time but I recently had a friend as me to make a pen for him to gift to another. His only requirement was he wanted something elegant and expensive looking. Lucky for me I had some Amboyna Burl two tone and a Jr Statesman set I had scored from Exotic Blanks. I wanted to share the end results since I haven't posted much lately. It was a great blank and made me look good! Lol. It was finished with a little Gluboost.

The second is a pen set I made for a family friend after dog sitting a couple weeks for him. He had to go on a business trip and Gus wasn't able to go so I thought I would make him a couple pens of Gus so he's never without seeing him. I swapped out the backgrounds to make the image better. The blanks were dressed on Diamond Knurl ball points from Exoticblanks.

The picture part was easy…
I took the picture with my cell phone, opened it up in an App my wife uses at work called "LightX" which allows you to erase backgrounds and replace with AI scenes or other photos. Then I printed it on weather proof labels and clear cast in alumilite clear.

Both pens are really wonderful John! Grain match on the amboyna is great and I love your photo pens.
