Yesterday all of a sudden our kitchen sink stopped draining. After many hours of reaming out pipes it still did not drain. then my husband thought about the air vent on the roof.
I can't believe it, but there is a GOLF ball in the stack!!!!!!!!!!!!
We do not know where it came from but some one made the most amazing hole in one ever!!!!!!!!!

PS he is now in the attic cutting the air stack to get it out. What a pain.

Sounds like a trick a "plumbers union" could use to get work. Sneak around at night (wear slippers so you don't make noise)... and drop golf balls into the stack of peoples houses.

I'm kidding of course - but congrats for figuring it out, many wouldn't have!
 
I would have never figured to look at the vent. I'd spent big buck with the roto rooter man and still had the problem! Speaking of golf balls, I just received this from my S-I-L this AM. Said he almost had to kick the duck to get his ball back.

Maybe it is a turd from an albino reindeer--Ho Ho-Ho.
 
I was thinking about that, but with my luck we would have ended up with a golf ball AND a stick stuck in the vent!!!

Put one of those caps on the vent while you're up there.
(What's really strange is he never told us what golf course he lives on.)
