Hello all, I was wondering,,,where do you guys get your aluminum to accent your colors between segments. I have read some use soda can scraps. Is there any other places to get a little thicker aluminum or is a soda can thick enough? Can you turn the aluminum like you can the wood once they are glued together?

Thanks.

If you have a hobby store you can use brass or aluminum shim stock. I definetly stay on the thinner side I have used up to I think 0.020 before but the thicker stuff when glued to wood tends to want to blow apart.

Forgot to mention also the thicker stuff will work better if it is running across the blank or at an angle in instead of the length of the blank.
