Alabama Snow fall

What a day to work in the shop, got 9 inches of snow last night in northern Alabama and had a good time working with wood. Being new to this pen turning stuff I was able to get things under control with wood blanks. That brings a question to mind, " Have anyone ever used a wood called Iroko?" I have alot of them and have not seen anyone talking about them. Looks like another day in the shop tomorrow due to everything is closed due to snow/ice so I'm in the shop again. Glad I only visit my son in Maine, it's good to leave the snow up north b ut it is good to see Alabamains drive in snow. That along makes my day!!:smile: Being retired Army I have seen alot of snow after my Fun, Travel, and Adventure (FTA) ha, ha....
 
you ain't snowed in yet. with a big ole truck like you have you can go anywhere!!!!!!!!
Iroko is a very haard wood. used on trailer floors ( as in semi ) it turns good and takes a polish well. bring some when you come and I will show you////// lol
