Acrylgem Blanks at Huts - any experience?

I tried a couple of them. They were powdery when turning them, but they did polish nicely.
I never finished a pen from them though.

From the name ... and the look of them ... they could be a variant of TruStone blanks.

They have been available for over two decades! I have made several pens from them and yes, they are "powdery" when drilled. Also beware of heat build up. I would suggest a carbide cutter--

Hope this helps,
Ed
