ABRA ...LON/NET

Can someone differentiate between Abralon and Abranet???
Is it simply a matter of one having a foam pad and the other not
or is there a difference in application, etc.?
Can you suggest a good source for purchasing either?

I have only used the abralon pads after sanding to 800. They work great. I purchased these from Barry Gross. BGArtforms.com
I think Woodcraft has the abranet but I've not used any.

The open weave of Abranet allows sanding dust to be easily pulled away by vacuum so that it doesn`t plug up with dust like conventional sandpaper . I only use the Abralon for hand sanding pendants , etc , and vacuum out the pads later .

Penn State has a good range of these products .

abranet is a screen type of sandpaper, abralon is a sanding mesh similar to a pot scratcher
