Day before yesterday my wife called and said one of our dogs had a really swollen and painful foot. She checked for stickers and cuts. She only found two small bloody sores on the top of the foot. She took the dog into the vet. Apparently it is still warm enough here for rattle snakes to be out, because she was bit by a baby.
SHe got two shots and we were told to watch her close for two days. Her foot finally started looking like a foot again last night and she showed no signs of organ damage. Lucky it was a baby that got her.
My wife had taken her to our business for security reasons that morning early and she ran off to chase something at the business next door. (She is a hundred pounds of muscle and fun but the nasty folks don't know it) I am happy this did not happen at home. I really did not want to go looking around the yard for something tiny and deadly.
She is my dog and I was really worried.
