We've captured him here in Indy, along with the IAP Pen Collection AND a case of Yuengling! Mark has logged around 2,500 miles on this trip so far. It's been a good visit with Wayne (Stonepecker) and, Mark. Looking forward to your arrival Ernie. I'm making a pen for Wayne. Nothing fancy just, cap and barrel. Going to finish up with the nose piece today and, whatever else we can get into. Gonna be some beers put down later  Be careful coming up 65, a pilot landed a plane on it around Columbus last week

Well, as John Kasich says... "Someone has to be the adult in this crowd!"

So When I heard you and Wayne were getting together, I figured you two needed Ernie, me and Johnny Drum to supervise, keep you in line. (Oh wait, Johnny Drum is going home with me).

Seriously, this is what the IAP Collection is intended for! It was shown to about 40 different folks on Sat/Sunday in Clearwater; Joe and Herb got to see it in Cocoa Beach; and You (Chuck), Wayne and Ernie get to see it.

And my payback is HUGE - I've made more wonderful friends! (I got the better of the deal).

Wife gets home Sunday also, so my timing is spot on - just like my fit and finishes!!!

How can he be on a tour of the south and not stop by Texas or did someone forget to mention he was here? Or I guess with my old age, between my poor eyesight and bad hearing, I just missed out.

Personally......I believe I got the best of the deal.
Made three new friends. Made a pen with one of them.
Went to HOOTER's with all of them.

Got to see the collection up close. It is a great show of what the IAP membership can do. If you ever get a chance to see it.......Take the time and Mark will show you some of the nicest pens ever. He knows these pen and the stories behind them. AND, it is my understanding this will be growing by leaps and bounds this year. So I am already thinking how to get to see again soon.

And don't let Mark fool you........Once in the Cave, he is as big a kid as I am. Just slimmer.

No slight intended Kenny:wink:. I had to time my sneaking away with my wife's travels (actually she heartily encouraged me to go... Well, maybe not to Hooters ).

I am doing my best to display the fine work of the membership to as many folks as I can - whether it's 2 or 200.

For this trip, it went to the FLGAPG meeting in Clearwater, FL. So about 40 folks saw it between the 2 days. Then I spent a wonderful afternoon in Cocoa Beach, FL with Joe (Wood128) and Herb (knowltoh), so they got to see it. Then up to Indianapolis to supervise Wayne, Ernie and Chuck (That was tough duty)!

Next is the MPG in Ohio; The MAPG in Richmond; the AAW Totally Turning Symposium in Sarasota Springs, NY; and I'd like to add one or two chapter meetings this fall.

I have my fingers crossed to accompany my wife to England, but this depends on her work.

And I just got an invitation to travel to Tucson, AZ in 2 weeks, so I may try to get something together there.
