This piece of spalted ambrosia maple is done like Bihn Pho.
However, since the walls are only .050 thick, I used a 60 watt bulb as a thickness gage, rather than the conventional 100 watt bulb. The 100 watt bulb was too brite.
The dia is over 5 inches, and the height is over 9 inches
The wood was dry when the piece was turned.
There are two cracks in the top area due to people picking up the piece by one small spot on the rim and turning it on its side to see the bottom.
