I was looking at the list of chapters and there are two within driving distance.
Does one have to belong to a particular chapter or can one attend any of the chapter meetings? Are there any fees associated with becoming a member of a chapter?
Are there any chapters closer to northern IN, other than Indy or Detroit? It could present some problems for myself to travel that far at times. It would be nice to meet some of the members, if I can make it to one of the meetings.

Each chapter makes their own rules about how to support the chapter. So, there MAY be some dues in some chapters. But, I would expect you are welcome to visit any chapter to meet the members and evaluate whether you want to "join" or not.

If you find a chapter that is not listed on the IAP directory, we sure would like to know. There is no cost to getting "listed" and the list is there to help folks, like you, who are looking for other penturners!!

Good luck in your quest!!

Hi John: I am active in the Ohio Chapter. And the Indianapolis very willingly took my $ for membership into their chapter (it was small... Maybe $5 ???).

I have visited Michigan and Wisconsin - ALL were happy for any one to show up and be active!

John, the Indy chapter has no dues, it's for the coffee and donuts Mark ;-). There is a meeting this Saturday, the 21st, and if you want to join us you're more than welcome. The meeting agenda is posted under the Local Chapters forum -Indianapolis. It's building up to be a good meeting and you can bring guests whether they turn or not. We have 140 folks on the contact list and usually have 30 to 50 show up. Our meetings are usually 3 times a year. Come check us out.
