A New Hat for Jose

My Friend ask if I could make him a sombrero for his BAR, for his Jose Cuervo.
I drilled it shallow so I could have a low dome, and the brim is 2 3/4" wide instead of 2".

This was an experiment so the wood I used was scraps, the top is the same wood as the bottom. I glued two pieces together (the glue line is hidden by the hat band) the top is the end grain and when the CA was applied it darkened by it's self. I then used a piece of oak to do the burn on the band.

That is awesome! I love the concept of hats for the stoppers! I never would have thought of that!
