There are some pigments being advertised here and I have tried them (not much out there that I haven't tested).
I'm not going to bash them , but they were a big let down for me.
They are extremely expensive, even more transluscent and to see a dramatic effect, you need varying temps of water. During the hot summer, like today, they stay one color unless you use water, freezer, etc.
If you would like to try them, I would suggest just one or two samples to test before dropping the coin. The samples are pretty small, but should help you decide if you want more.
Just trying to keep people from spending money on high expectations when they could get tons of pigment from a well used supplier that comes up a lot around here.

Just one man's opinion...take from it what you will.

Thank you for your insight. I wasn't going to touch this stuff anyways, because it looked "gimmicky" to me, and I don't do gimmicky. I leave that for the vendors that sell those bend and glow necklaces.

It states in the ad and on the website that it goes clear... it does NOT turn clear. It's a milky white color and will stay that way until placed in a cold condition. Who is going to do that? Most people carry a pen with them. The heat from your body or the outside temp. is enough to keep it from showing it's color. The thicker the cast, the longer it takes for the change. It is supposed to have a 1,000 times cycle.
This is targeted towards kids that like to play with toys. You can decide for yourself by looking at the website. It didn't seem to attractive to those I exposed it to.
Money better spent elsewhere... for me.

Yeah, the kind that goes 'clear' didn't seem like something that would be useful, unless you mixed in some pearex or other colorant so teh blank still had some color. The kind that changed from one color to another looked interesting. I thought of getting a bit and casting a mood-pen, but the color choices aren't preferable and the stuff apparently doesn't change back to the original color readily enough, so much of the effect would be lost.
