From last summer, a Belgian friend of mine lives in San Diego, CA, where he bought a house with the purpose to invest and work in the US (Belgian chocolates and waffles).
He needs some specific furniture. He exerts a lot of pressure on me for visiting his home and... making his furniture.
I told him that in the US, they are a lot of passionate woodworkers and he will find the top of the top. Nothing to do. I suspect that his problem is essentially one of understanding for his English is worse than mine.
For me visiting the US is something like a dream becoming reality but without my tools and machines I'm lost. And buiyng and renting some for this kind of job is quite unaffordable... well for him but... I prefer to keep him as a friend...
The specific needs are the following:
* 2 imbedded cupboards: (HxLxDepth) a) 2,43 x 2,02 x 0,62; b) 2,13 x 2,07 x 0,37
* 1 library: 2,70 x 2,37 x 0,40
* 2 nightstands: 0,60 x 0,60 x 0,40
* 1 commode: (L x l) 1,50 x 0,45
* 1 bedhead with bed frame 2m x 2m
Is there somebody in this area to take the job, in preference an IAP member or a furniture maker one could suggest?
