I had a few of these Compsons prepped, so I got these 3 done today. Not my best pics, but they work. The Compson is a go to style around my house, mostly because I've messed up a few and they became house, car, and work pens. Finishing the top end of the blank and pressing the clip in takes some finesse.

I decided to dress one up with the hybrid. I believe that was supposed to be maple burl, but the color seems dark for maple. The hole and tube were both painted red. I wish I'd have had some yellow, but am thinking I should have just used the white to make it stand out more. Either way, I'm happy with it. That one is finished in GluBoost, polished with Zona and then finished with Meguire's plastic polish.

The other two are bloodwood and bog oak, both sanded to 800 and then finished with Pens Plus. I got aggressive with the bog oak and cut the diameter slightly narrower than planned, but the clip still has good pressure against the barrel. I usually shoot for 13 mm where clip and barrel meet.
