Rick, I'm a Canuck and there is NO sign of snow nor real cold here (Toronto,ON). Think that I will relocate to Alaska (nah, I want to stay warm).

Toronto is the one city I have traveled to that I didn't mind being stuck in! A genuinely fun town with really good people. However I know a certian member in the midle of putting up sidding who would not agree with you about the cold!

Ed
In reality its been warm and wet here to. the coldset we have seen so far is about -20. Really should have seen -35 to -40 by now. Up north they just now dipped below -50.......yes I know but they should have seen that kind of cold sooner and for a longer period of time.

PS I might be working a check point for one of our sled dog races next week! If I can find someone to watch Gunther. I'd be alone in a wall tent 30 miles from the nearest road waiting for teams to check in........doubt I can find the child care in time but it was a real honor to be picked for the post!

Bah - Toronto's BARELY Canada in terms of weather!

Cold as heck on the prairies today:
-32 today..calling for -45 windchill tonight, according to accuweather:
-32°C
RealFeel®
-45°C
Winds
W 23

(and yes, vinyl siding is on hold for a few days!)

I think I see part of your problem, Andrew!!! The vinyl siding goes ON HOUSE..................NOT on HOLD!!!:biggrin::biggrin:

This reminds me of that beer commercial that drives me nuts...

"no self-respecting Canadian would put something on hold because it's too cold'...
then they show people skating in -10...

The people making that commercial haven't stepped foot outside of Southern Ontario!
Edit: although when you think about it, I guess there are more people in Vancouver, Quebec, and Southern Ontario combined, than the rest of the country!
