I have someone interested in a pencil with lead thicker than .7mm. I found a 2mm, but that seems a bit too thick. ANyone know of a source somewhere in between?

The pentel sharp is available in .9mm if you want to try the pentel conversion. its the yellow one. google pentel pencil.

I've done several .9 Pentels. That's a seriously thick lead. Makes a great shop pencil, and even my daughter can't break it.

Yeah. I got mine from one of the members here. He has the bit and a step mandrel.

I use the Power Pencil with a 2mm lead for my Shop Pencil...
I don't know what size the old "Eversharp" mechanical pencil lead was, but you can still get it at Office Depot... and I know it's better than that .5 & .7 stuff.

I use the mini sketch pencil, it is 3mm, but it is indestructible. Nice pencil, built in sharpener.
