Do you ever find your 60 degree dead center and live center need to be replaced due to wear or for any other reason? How long do you keep them?

Oh yea. Live center for sure. Not the dead center. Anything with moving parts will wear out. My body is living proof of that. I just have too many parts that need replacing.

I just replaced mine. I've tried many setups. I hate TBC, and I don't like mandrel savers. I still use a live center against the mandrel. Mine got pretty beat up when I started turning metal. I also wanted a different profile. I went with a very small TIR, and did not have to pay a lot.

Live center - yes. My first one lasted over ten years before the wobbles got noticeable. I just bought THIS ONE from Taylor Toolworks (I see it's out of stock currently) and like it much better than the old one. The body of the center doesn't spin - just the 60 degree point.
Dead center - I've cleaned it up a few times (getting rid of the overspill of CA) but unless the Morse Taper gets damaged there's no need to replace it IMO.
