50 cal....WOW

I had no idea these were that big. The pen part is not made yet.
Just put the tip on to see how it would look. Still not sure I want to do anything with the brass or just leave it as is.

Anyway, I also want to see if anyone else thinks the pen blank looks a little
like leather, as in stitched brown leather. My better half says no and that disappointed me!:wink: It is called milkyway and sold by woodcraft.

A little background please ....

1) Are you making the 50 cal from a used shell casing only? Did you make copper bullet?

2) What is the connection between the 50 cal and the purchased Milky Way blank?

I think the kit looks good with desert Camo. Just Me. Yeah its big but that's a 50 Cal. and I believe PSI says the brass is real.

It is a real once-fired shell casing.
The base is about .075 bigger in diameter so there is a lot more brass on that end and it allows the shell to stand up steadily, even with the tip on it.
I'm still thinking about crating a base to hold it better.
