Purchased a used lathe last week & got a good deal on it. While there he offered me another deal that I couldn't pass up. Today I returned & purchased a 5 gal pressure pot, a vacuum stabilizing pot with vacuum pump, gal of new liquid plastic resin, new 1/2 gal container of different resin, mold release, plus assorted container of mica powders & liquid dye. New to all of this but thought I might start trying to learn some new things.

$200 for everything so I couldn't pass it up. It paid off borrowing my wife's cell phone & looking at her FB marketplace…

Next step will be to start reading & asking questions on the casting forum…

Ok I thought the lathe deal was cool, and a good deal...but now I'm ticked!!! That has to be 1200 to 1500 worth of stuff! LOL
Congrats...we all wish we would have that deal too.....

Alright now....enough is enough....

Thank you moke! Yes I'm smiling about this deal for sure. Actually like a huge 😁!

Good score Billy. Now...exoticwo just posted a MFRB of Aussie burls for $55--you need to snag that up as well!! you need something to cast!!

Thanks greenacres2! Got to slow down on my spending. 🙁 mad money depleted… Got some cholla cactus to practice on…

Don't you have something like eleventy-billion blanks you won a few years ago in the Super Bowl pool? Or did you use them to build a house? 😉

Brian, yes I did have a huge collection. I sold everything I had last year & thought I was done. Having some health issues & need both knees replaced. I decided I may have to get a stool to sit on & turn because I wasn't ready to quit messing around in my shop.

Bad, bad deal. To lessen your pain I will refund you what you spent and remove the items so you wont fret over it any more!.😂
You're welcome.
Hey Paul,
Thanks for the generous offer but I'm going to pass for now. I would hate for you to spend all that money on gas costs coming & going to just pick up a few things…

Billy just to give you something to think about. If the cactus is small enough you can drill the cactus and glue in the tube before you cast it. That way when you turn it the cactus will be centered and even around the pen. Just cast as if it's a tube in which it is.

Thanks Kenny, definitely give me something to think on. Got to dig my cactus out of storage & check on sizes. May have to tell my brother it's time for him to start stocking some up for us. He uses the cholla for knife handles.
