Not sure what there called but I'm looking for the collars for the .308 casing. It's a spacer on the tip bullet end because the 7mm tube is to small and doesn't fit tight. I use to buy the fro Woodturningz or Woodnwhimizies. Can't find them on there site.
Thank You for any information

Neat idea with the collars. I've never used them. I just use thick super glue on the collar end & use a small dowel rod to center the tube & then spray some accelerant on it.

I've heard of some people using heat shrink tubing to do the same thing as you are wanting to do.

That is the way I leaned many years ago when these first started appearing here. Soldered the tube in.

I think it was Wood-n-whimzies.
But they don't seem to sell a lot of the things they use to sell.
I'm sure I have some but After 20 years of making pens for a business I have stuff everywhere to look through.

I started using 8 mm tubes. Drill out the primer for an 8 mm tube and the bullet end fits snug. I epoxy that then put a couple of wraps of scotch tape around both ends of the 7mm tube. Not much just about an 1/8". Then I epoxy glue that inside the 8mm tube. I haven't had any trouble with alignment or slippage. The tape sounds a little cheesy but there's not much of it.
