Wow...Nice pen. I really like the chrome look and the shell base at the clip end.
What is the base kit you are using? Did you nickel plate the shell the bullet, chrome powder coat, or did you buy the components that way?

Yes, that kit is the 30 cal kit from PSI. Woodturningz has them too.
The deer head was printed on clear decal paper. I print about 10 at a time. Sometimes they get a wrinkle and are wasted. Then I spay them with clear coat. Once that is dry, and I am ready to use them, I cut one out as close to the image as possible. Dip them in some water and wait about a minute. Then the decal slides off of the paper backing. I smooth it out so there are no wrinkles. I wait a few minutes and add the ca finish.
