I have been saving for 23 yrs to be able to build my dream shop.. I thought I would die of old age, before I would ever see it..this pic is of yesterday's work..a 24x36 garage(shop) will be built on this base..today the cement trucks come...I am having a case of the vapors!! Thrilled!!

Congrats. I know you have to be excited. I'm working on a 7 years and counting dream. Still saving. Nows a great time. Wood and steel are cheap right now.

It looks a pretty decent size too, I envy you.

Looks like it is in the perfect site also. Are there some nice windows and lots of natural light in the plans? I had a 20'X40' shop way back when and I loved it. Wish I could do it again.

Huge congrats. Considering most of us start out sweating the cost of kits blanks, bushings and drill bits. Reaching the point that you will actually build a shop is a huge milestone. Enjoy the process.
 
Wow that's awesome. Going on close to 16 years on my dream but no closer then I was then. I get frustrated sometimes. Look forward to seeing it as it progresses.

My 14 yr old toyota truck can stayoutside, there will be no desecration ..OK only a little : wood splitter, generator and such will get a small space..other than that it's wood tools and more wood!!! :biggrin:
 
Now that's living the American dream! Hard work, determination and motivation. Congratulations. As others have said, keep us updated on the progress!

WOW 24 X 36 is a big shop. don't get lost in there!


Equally important to Determination, motivation, and hard work, are Desire, and focus. With those simple tools right there, a man can do anything! (Just ask Obama)
