[FONT=&quot]I have been asked to host these activities this year, probably to prevent me from entering any one of my pens and running away with any prizes!

This is not a serious contest, although in many ways it may resemble one. It is a contest for serious penturners to either show off mistakes so everyone can laugh at them or to purposely create a pen that is UGLY! Don't be posting any masterpieces here. There are other, more boring contests for those. This is a fun contest that encourages the ugliest of the ugly! This contest involves showing strange and horrifying things that somewhat resemble pens so that we can all make rude comments to each other about them! And with that, the rules:

1) Your entry must be a functional pen, i.e. If you could bring yourself to handle it, it would write.

2) You may submit up to two entries, although I can't imagine why you would want to admit being responsible for even one of these things, yet alone two!

3) Entries are submitted by use of the [/FONT][FONT=&quot]2016 IAP Birthday Bash Ugly Pen Contest Entry Form [/FONT][FONT=&quot](Link to entry form)[/FONT][FONT=&quot]. A name and a story about how your wretched piece of ugliness came to be, is required. Your entry must include both your screen name and your real name, and your mailing address. This is only for the purpose of awarding prizes. I will not post any identifying information here besides your screen name at the conclusion of the contest so everyone will know that YOU are responsible for a specific piece of ugly. Personally I really could not care less where you live but we need to know so we can ship you a prize if you win. We do not want to hunt for you if you win a prize!

4) Entries will be accepted from Monday the 1st of February until Midnight (The Witching Hour) Eastern time, on Saturday the 13th of February. Winners will determined by member vote.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]5) Three polls will be posted on Sunday the 14th of February. All of the entered monstrosities will be listed in all three polls. A single entry could win in multiple categories. The polls will remain open for 72 Hours. There will be voting for:[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]a) [/FONT][FONT=&quot]The worst looking normal pen. This category is for pens that were supposed to be nice, but turned out ugly.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]b) [/FONT][FONT=&quot]The frilliest pen. Blingy and Flamboyant! Make Liberace and Elton John[FONT=&quot] (circa[/FONT] 1970) proud.[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]c) [/FONT][FONT=&quot]Just Butt Ugly Pen. This is kind of the all-encompassing category for the entry that is truly just the ugliest around![/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]Note that there is no category for disgusting and/or gross pens. If a pen is submitted for entry that is unfit for a family oriented site, it will be refused.

7) All entry images and comments become the property of the IAP, to use, or dispose of, as they wish. Yes, blackmail a few years from now is a definite possibility!

8) All entries will be posted by me in this forum. You may notice that this forum is locked, and only I can post entries here. Have patience! I am not that fast.

[FONT=&quot]The Trash Talking Contest[/FONT]

[FONT=&quot]In addition to all the excitement of a stomach turning Ugly Pen Contest, we are also running a side contest, the Trash Talking Contest! It is simply a place to comment on all the Ugly Pen Contest entries, and the best comment wins a prize! So follow the link below to the Trash Talking Contest, and fill it up with your best comments. There is no limit, and the primary rule is not to be too overtly offensive, profane or disgusting. Remember, this is a family site! Nominations for the best (or maybe worst) piece of trash talking will be accepted from the moment the pen voting polls are open, until the winners of the Ugly Pen Contest categories are announced. One nomination per member. A nomination will consist of no more than the text contained in one post of the Trash Talking thread. Once a specific piece of trash talk is nominated there is no need to nominate it again. All nominated Trash Talk will be posted in a poll on Thursday February 18, 2016. The poll will remain open for 72 hours.
