I just completed #20 of 50 that I plan on for the Freedom Pens Project.

When I have completed this I will photograph all in one shot...

Now if you will excuse me I have coffee to brew to keep me goin' LOL:rolleyes:

Most Woodcrafts participate in "Turn for troops". We had a Turn-a-Thon at the Milwaukee Woodcraft saturday and turned about 40 pens. Most were turned by customers that had never turned before.

Unfortunately, I am committed to this effort because I said I was to a Very large group of people.
I live next door to a Church in my town. One night, someone broke in, Left the place a major mess. I called the police and they caught this person. Now in their thanks, the church gave us (wife and I) $100.:eek: Morally I couldn't accept the money, since I was only doing my civic duty. While having a conversation with the Deccan, because they wouldn't take the money back... I told him about Freedom Pen and that I would use the money to buy pen kits. (thanks to the eBay seller that was selling 10 slims for $20)
With that, Soon as I finish them, my target date is November 10. Then on the 11th, a small media event at the church. After which I will get 50 slims for your effort.
Deal?

Anybody who wants to commit to donating 10 slimlines to Gary I'll cut you an at cost deal for kits....I'll commit to this for the first 50 folks. It will have to be my choice of finish. Next week I'll put it in the store so you can just go there and get them. I'll put a code in the business classifieds.
 
As of Midnight I started my 50th pen.... it is now almost 6 am here and I have all packaged up and thankfully I haven't sealed the box. Because I will take a couple of pictures tomorrow... then seal up the box and get them shipped.
