I have the full set of MM but recently bought a stick of blue polishing compound and the buffing wheel. Which is the finest...12K MM or the blue compound? Looking to enhance the finish of synthetic blanks.
White Diamond is 1800 grit, but somehow removes scratches that 1,200 through 12,000 grit micromesh leaves behind.
I believe the directional randomization of the buffing wheels > the impact of finer grit sanding systems. Buffing wins. If you'd want an enhanced finish, buffing is required.
