Pens made without pen kits

Hello there!

As I mentioned in my last post,I made some pens even before I found out such a thing like a pen kit even existed. I usually just took some cheap commercial pen,striped it down and made a new sleeve to put its guts into. I found a couple of photos recently Has anyone tried something like this too?

Yes, I made plenty of wooden pens using stripped components from inexpensive give away stock. It's a great way
to practise lathe technique and trying different shapes. Yours look good.
