We had a wonderful event at our local Rockler today! I turned several of the Maltese Falcon Pens and gave them to firefighters who showed up at the event. It was quite a powerful experience turning a pen in front of the them and catching the twinkle of amazement as they watched a square blank turn into a functioning, personal pen right before their eyes and then being able to shake their hand, thanking them for their service.
