I needed a few and today was the day. The five on the left are Inlace acrylester from WoodTurningz and the other two are alumilite. The Inlace pens were turn with a fresh (not sharpened) 2" radius turned in the toolrest to about a 40 degree angle. No chips, no swearing, no trash cans were observed. I do slow down and concentrate more than with wood or acrylic acetate - those are easier.
Since I stopped making Sierra pens and moved up to diamond knurl ballpoints I NEVER have a failure when pressing the finished blank together. Visit Ed and Dawn at Exotic Blanks to buy them. You will be happy.
BTW - I buy them just like everybody does at full price. I am happy to give credit to quality products without a thought toward compensation.
