This is a Spirit pen from Rockler. A friend at work made the blank several years ago for me to turn as he is not a turner. He makes some epoxy cutting boards and wanted to make a pen blank. He used pine cones from his yard but did not dry them before he cast them. I have been nervous to turn it because of that along with him not having a pressure pot. I drilled it and used CA glue on the tubes about two years ago. I have been adding thin CA off and on since then and finally put it on the lathe this weekend. Slow going with carbide tools and lots more thin CA. Three coats of thin GluBoost followed by three coats of medium then MicroMesh and Yorkshire Grit. I am happy (and surprised) with the outcome. I'm not a photographer so the photos do not really do it justice. It kind of has a starry night look to it. Feedback is welcome and appreciated.

I like the colors in the blank that match the plating on the kit. That kit looks exactly like the another pen kit I turned from PSI but I can't for life of me remember what the name if it was.
