I've been involved in pen turning for over 20 years. The last few years I have been more of a watcher than a participator. Earlier this year the itch started to get to me but being busy with home renovation and other projects, and a flu bug or two, I just couldn't find the time till earlier this week. I turned a few pens earlier this week as gifts (no pics) and since I made the decision to go back to using shaving soap, I needed a soap brush. I got down in the dungeon earlier and got 'er done. The brush is the premium badger brush kit from Exotic Blanks. The blank I used for the handle is a polyester resin "fire" blank experiment I made some 18-20 years ago. I took my time turning it as it has been a long time since I've turned PR. I had a couple minor slip-ups but nothing that slowed me down much. Sanded with micro mesh and buffed with Stadium Pen Blanks Magic Juice and wiped down with Eastwood ceramic spray. Not half bad.
