I really, really like cebloplast blanks. They have great depth and reflect light in many facets. I'm always a bit nervous when I make a pen from cebloplast, because if you mess it up, you generally can't just go get another blank.

Anyway, here is one I made this evening. The kit is a magnetic Eco Zen from Exotic Blanks. I chose this kit because I think it has one of the longest tubes to show off the blank. My wife has seen almost all of my pens, and she liked this one more than most of the others.

It's challenging to cut and drill because it tends to melt and stick to blades and drill bits. I keep a wet rag handy and cool the drill bit with each removal of chips. As for turning, I take very light cuts with a new carbide cutter (very sharp). This resin does not spit out ribbons. It gets gooey clumps that break away. It's really not too difficult, just nerve wracking. It polishes really well. I just used zona paper and Meguiar's plastic polish.
 
Very nice job with the pen. That material makes some nice blanks for sure. The older celoplast material is some of the best looking stuff around. I hve made a few pens using that same material. I always thought of it as camaflage material so I use to put it on my bullet pens when I made them back in the day. Again thanks for showing.
