I've been using a lot of kits from PSI but am wanting to find some higher quality kits to work with. I'm just not that happy with a lot of the kits from PSI.

I came across Woodriver pen kits in the Woodcraft website and wonder if anyone has any experience with them?

Many of them look like copies of the same kits I can get on PSI, but some are different. I like the look of the Navigator in particular.

I'd love some feedback on Woodriver, and especially the Navigator, and am also hoping for some guidance on other higher quality kits and where I can get them.

Thank you!

Woodriver pen kits are made for Woodcraft. The big problem with them is they discontinue their kits alot and then you are out of luck. They basically are copies of other kits with some different cosmetic design changes. if you like them get them. No one makes better kits than Dayacom in my opinion. But they come with a high cost.

The Navigator has, historically been made by Berea's manufacturer. This may have changed in the last couple of years. WoodCraft is showing far fewer pen kits and Berea is out of stock of many products.

I deal with the Chattanooga TN Woodcraft store and get excellent service. As mentioned, they discontinue a lot of kits. I had a wrench kit that I like but, alas, it's discontinued. Hard to beat Exotic Blanks for selection and customer service.
Make sure you hit the "x" key instead of the "R' key. 😵‍💫

Two of our members here manufacture pen kits - Kate Harrow of Bullseye Turning and Tim McKenzie of McKenzie Penworks. I know both are having some issues with stocking, but they are both really nice, well made kits worth giving a try.

John, have you dealt with this company? (AllDiscountTools.com} Their prices look too good to be true.
If you have a history with them, I will buy quite a lot of their "stuff". THANKS!!

Ed I have not. I stumbled on this site looking for those necklace magnifiers that Monty wants. I posted this in that thread. I also mentioned I wrote them an email to see if I get the lowdown on this company. I asked a whole bunch of questions and as of right now I have not heard anything. I did this last night so will give them a couple days and try again. I also mentioned I will report back here with the reply. I said the same thing in that thread that these prices look too good. The thing is they carry so much more. I talked to Monty and I think he said he is going to give them a try for the magnifiers so he may get a quicker answer. One question I asked is if these are returns or seconds. If you want to also reach out, go ahead and report back. I ran the site through my security program and it came up clean. I try not to put any bad sites as links and as you said it seemed too good to be true. The site looks legit because they show exact same products others sell but a photo is a photo. WoodRiver is Woodcrafts company and thus the link that caught my eye. They also carry the MagFit dust connectors I am interested and at a low price. I may just run that sale to get a feel. I could not find a phone number just an email so that is how I am trying to get ahold of them for now.

John, it is possible for someone to completely copy website pages and "clone" the company. If you give them your credit card number, they have been successful--you will never receive any merchandise and you will not be able to contact them. Amazing what you learn when you have a "webstore".

I just deleted the link. Can not take a chance someone getting scammed. The site just looks too good to be true. I ran it through CoPilot and they said too many sketchy things showing up. Sorry about this.
