I am fairly new to IAP. Been pen turning for more than 4 years now. I am near Reading, PA. Is there a local PA group of IAP?

Randy; Sorry; there are several IAP regional chapters, but none in our area. I am doing a pen turning demo at the Harrisburg Woodcraft store on Oct 14th with Susquehanna Woodturners. The meeting starts at 6:30pm. The Woodcraft store has a lot of pens and pen blanks.
 
Welcome Justin! I am an active member here and also in two of my local AAW woodturning chapters. Our chapter as well as lots of others sponsor regular penturning events - both educational and for charities. We have invited vets similar to you for free 'Learn Pen Turning' classes, as well as participated in 'Turn a Pen for the Troops' - and I can tell you almost all of the AAW local chapters across the country do very similar things. I am not sure where you are located in PA, but there is a good listing of local chapters on the American Association of Woodturners site and hopefully, you can find something nearby. Lot's of chapters also now offer virtual/hybrid meetings so if you can't physically attend a meeting, you can join in via Zoom. Hope you continue to enjoy the hobby!!! Wishing you good success !!!
