Hit the jackpot, found a batch of spalted birch while visiting Alaska this summer. Offering lots of five for $20 plus shipping. 5 x 5/8 x 5/8 (not perfectly square, I cut them on the band saw). These blanks are light, but solid enough. Stabilizing would be great, but not necessary. I made one of my own as proof, see attached.
