I put this together for a friend's boyfriend who owns and drives a truck for a living. A quick shout out for Exotic Blanks. The only downside to EB's are the M&Ms. I need to loose some weight and I can't throw things away even though it's not good for me. I ordered the kit from them early Friday morning and received the kit on Monday. I was able to glue it up and cast it early this week and turned it today. It's a cloth background with a vinyl logo. The blue is the color of his truck. Questions and Comments are always Welcome.
P.S. I would be disappointed if my next order doesn't have the M&Ms.

Wow Keith I'm impressed! 3 weeks. When it comes to junk food my self control is out the window. If it's in the house I can't stay out of it. That's why I'm in the shape I'm in. Ha Ha. It was a nice treat and a great way to start a project.

Great looking pen!

Our M&M's go in a basket that sits on top of the fridge. A little bit of out of sight, out of mind. That said, I went to grab a bag recently and discovered our last one was gone. I have a feeling it moved to my wife's office. Now I know why she doesn't say to much when an order comes to the house. Obviously time to get back to ordering and shop work. Been interrupted for HS graduation stuff and softball season

Thank you everyone for the comments. Woodchipper I agree one little bag won't make a difference. My problem is that it feeds my bad habits into more destruction. I'll keep ordering from EB until they start putting the big bags in with the order. Then all I'll do is eat and no shop time.

Question for Ed if he sees this. If for some reason I need to return anything will I have to return the M&M's? I ordered 5 kits and a set of bushings. The M&M's were gone before I finished checking to see if it was all there. I could send the empty wrapper and John U. could make a blank with it! 🤣

Very few people pay respect for truckers. My wife's cousin retired after about 30 years as an OTR driver.
Thought from an old timer: Saw where they were discontinuing a certain model, which escapes my memory, that has a manual gearbox. I worked for a Mazda dealer and hated the paddle shifter. IMHO, nothing like swapping cogs!

I was in construction for 45 years. I managed an asphalt plant. I dealt with several different trucking companies for different reasons. Truck drivers used to be your friends on the road. If you had a flat tire or car troubles, you flagged down a truck. I guess the trucking industry has fallen into the same things. Most other businesses have become. Looking out for the dollar and nothing much else.
