I'm getting back into pen turning after a long hiatus. I had asked earlier in the main forum about lasers and such ,but that is a task for another day. Finished these 6 as a gift for my nephew ,celebrating his new business . I'm really liking these McKenzie Pen Works kits, the packaging, the recycling and the overall fit and finish of the hardware. My wallet is probably happy the stock is limited. The blanks came via Crooked Mill Woodworks.

what's the website url you get these kits off of? The packaging looks exquisite.
Also, beautifully made pens. Hoping I'm one day this talented.

I would message McKenzie Penworks here on the IAP. Tim can answer any questions you have about those pens as he is the owner of the company.

Agreed!!! The parts packaging is very unique! I went on both of these web sites but could not see the packaging - any suggestions where you can see it?
Howdy! So the boxes are an option we've added to most kits but might be missing on a few. It's essentially a $2 charge for the box which converts into the pen box when you get the parts out. Unfortunately our machinist quit on us back in March and we're just now getting the first parts machined from our new machine shop so everything is kinda out of stock at the moment. Desire and Liberty will be back ASAP... just waiting on the parts to get here so I can run them through the finishing process, etc. We've got 600 kits coming to us and another 1200 that'll be sitting at the machine shop ready so I suspect we won't be running out of inventory once we get things going again. Now... I might be broke... but... we'll have parts! lol

This is a coyote twist kit but the gist of the packaging remains the same. You can see how the components are shipped, the liners flipped around and becomes the carrier for the finished pen.
