Gold resin Inlay. Although, this brand seems to turn more orange-ish
Resin used due to bullet damage. From about 40 years ago.

Thanks for the series of photos. I'm impressed with the texturing in the base. Good addition.
Bullet damage? Tree or fence post? Got my curiosity up.

Thank you. This tree was about 70-80 years old when it fell over in a storm on a farm. As we processed the tree we came across many a nail and bullets. So far I think we are at about 20 bullets. The best we can determine is when the tree was about 30-40 years old someone decided to shoot at the tree. Often finding bullets within a 4-5" grouping. The one here did quite the damage and I think it was a higher caliber than the others we encountered.
