This is a PSI Jet Airliner twist pen in gold. The wood is locust tree burl. The finish is Pens Plus. I'm not usually a fan of gold pens, but I really like it with the burl.

Nice pen! I've made a couple of the propeller pens, but not the jet airliner one yet. Are you done teasing us with that locust burl yet? ;)
Actually, Dennis just gave me some plum burl. There was even a bonus worm in it!

Ah, plum! Plum is such beautiful wood! I have a plum tree in my back yard, off of which a large limb fell a few months ago. I've been letting it season a bit, but I think I need to haul it inside now that winter is here. I'm a huge fan of Plum, though. Its beautiful wood, with a beautiful shimmering grain, and it often has this amazing plum purple staining as well. Easy to turn, finishes really well. Just love the stuff.

Your pen is wonderful. Looks like there are some little streaks of the plum purple in there, too!

Here is a small piece of the plum. This will be a Christmas ornament.
