Finally out of the prototype stage, kitless, threadless cap, postable ballpoint

Closed length: 4.75"
Cap length: 2.50"
Body length: 4.25"
Posted length: 5.50"
Cap OD: .575
Body OD: .483

Cap and body tapered fit
OOPS on the taper caused me to go into 'salvage' mode and use a Parker refill instead of rollerball refill.

Criticism, questions, comments, suggestions for improvement greatly appreciated.

Looks good. With a friction fit cap are you concerned the cap scratching the body?
Mike,

I was/am concerned but haven't seen any scratching that I can attribute to the taper fit (yet), after using the first copy daily for a few weeks. So far, I've only used acrylic and the next one will be alumilite for a test of a softer material. The hope is that the locking taper will distribute the force while also forming an air-tight seal. I'm thinking of shortening the taper from 5/8" to 3/8"ish

I haven't had a problem with fountain ink drying.

@egnald , @Hippie3180 TNX for section comments. This one is quite a bit 'stubby'; only 1" in length where I normally make RB sections about 1.5" for a better feel to me.
