I recently crossed the threshold of my 400th pen. This week I turned a piece of cocobolo. Inside the coloration was superb. Thanks for looking.

The wood is cocobolo.
Wet sanded micromesh with walnut oil.
The finish is Pens plus, in more of a satin shine than high gloss.
Assembled with blue loctite in the fittings.

Excellent work!! It's also THE BEST figured piece of Cocobolo I've ever seen !!!

Prefer the satin finish. Beautiful wood, beautiful work.

Wow, that's a pretty piece of wood. I like the more natural looking finish on this. I've been doing more lately with a low sheen finish, too.

Nice pen Todd. I also like the natural finish, where you can see the grain - and that is a nice piece of Cocobolo!
