Here is my fist effort at pen turning. I see some imperfections and almost chucked it buy my son was curious so we went through the whole process. Ordered some basic wood blanks to practice more on chiseling and sanding. Happy to have made my first pen and to have an exemplar to grow from.

Strauss kit x unknown wood

Very nice. Not sure of the wood but the color and grain are elegant. Hope someone can identify it for future reference for the group. Suggestion: add more light for photos. There is a ection on photographing pens. And welcome!!!!
