Or as I like to think of it as a kit less kit pen.

Mulberry, green tulip veneer, green kirinite pearl and yellow and green acrylic accents. Definitely my most challenging project to date. A bit of everything I've learned over the last couple of years

Outstanding. I have tried the 360 degree herringbone several time with poor results, so I can appreciate how much work went into that. Thanks for sharing.

Many aspects here are difficult - well done. I admire your attention to the dimensions in each section - not always noted, but you nailed it! Very nice. ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘

Great work indeed!
Would you mind sharing the ODs of every component? Everything look so well balanced, and it should be thin...

Thanks Pierre, I will get them to you. I had to build the herringbone sections on brass tubes so the dimensions are all based around their internal and external sizes and the taps and dies I have available. The cap is 16mm and the barrel is 15mm assembled.

OK Pierre these are the sizes as best I can give. The section is for a Bock size 6 type 250 nib and housing - Maximum 12mm at its widest with M10 x 1 thread. The barrel has a maximum 15mm on the flange and finial and turned down to 10.8mm to fit the interior of the herringbone brass tube. I pre drilled the interior to 9.1mm and cut all the threads before I turned it down on a mandrel. The cap thread is also M13 x 0.8 triple. The finial was again turned down to 10.8 to fit the brass tube and then 10mm at the end for the M10 adjoining thread. The cap is 16mm maximum on the flange and finial turned down to 13.5mm.Again I pre drilled the interior to 12.3mm and cut all the threads (M13 x 0.8 triple) before turning down on a mandrel. I used the same procedure on the cap finial as the barrel finial except I used the M13 x 0.8 triple thread.

I hope this makes some sense to you. It's the first time I've tried this procedure and I use a wood lathe so a lot of the process is trial and error and there was a lot of tears along the way ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚
