These are four Gear click pens from Crooked Mill, one in chrome, one in gold, and two in gunmetal. They look to be Chinese copies of the PSI Stratus. The wood is Roman olive from Woodcraft. My granddaughter, Kolibri, was born last month. I made these for all the other grandparents and will be engraving them. The finish is Pens Plus.

The pen kits have old school click mechanisms, but seem to function fine.

This is what the Roman olive looked like when I started.

Nice set. I need to start using the Doctor's Woodshop Pens Plus more often. So far I have only used it on some keychains and the finish seems to be holding up pretty good considering they get carried around and handled a lot. It sure is a lot faster than my CA regimen. - Dave

I use it exclusively on wood, and it seems to hold up well. I haven't quite mastered the CA finish, but it looks kind of "plasticky" to me. I prefer a more natural looking finish on wood, that lets the texture through. I want it to look and feel like wood.

Nice work, Jim ! !

Crooked Mill website says, with regard to the "Gear Click" :

"Bold and modern, this ballpoint pen kit features a diamond-pattern tip and cap for excellent grip and unique style."

I don't see the diamond-pattern, either on their website or on the pens that you made and are showing here . . .

Maybe there is a misprint. . . . OR . . .Am I somehow missing the diamond pattern ?

There is no diamond pattern that I see.

Love this style of pen! I purchased a whole bunch of Stratus recently. Probably one of my favorite kits. Your set looks excellent. I'm sure everyone will love them.

The finish is Pens Plus.

Glad to hear people are giving Pens Plus a solid try! My favorite finish, for sure. Strongly feel it preserves a more natural feel for wood pens.

Got the engraving done. It was quite the project. Papa Tim is left handed, so his is engraved in the opposite direction.
