I had a nice moment today to share. It's been difficult running into people at one of the work sites I support because of continued reduced staffing due to the pandemic. But today I finally ran into a man I've worked with for seven years. He's a giant, quiet, kind veteran who keeps his desk clear of almost everything but a few pictures of his granddaughter with special needs that he dotes on.
I'm late delivering pens, which I typically give out around Christmas. I decide on a design and make about a dozen for co-workers. When I handed him this delinquent "2021" pen he smiled and opened a box containing the other 6 pens I've given him over the years. Wow! It was like a time capsule to see all the old designs I was keen on at the time and then "got over."
I didn't know how much he appreciated the pens until I noticed this box was about the only thing on his clear desk aside from his family pictures. Wow.
Thanks for letting me share,
- Cullen

Great story. Just goes to show how versatile the "lowly" Slimline can be in the right hands. Well done and wonderful designs.

Wonderful story! Looks like he treats them more like treasures, than tools for writing. ;)
