First the Old I like this Slimline Kit and I like it in combination with this blank. Next the New a Directors Pen kit not used it before so new to me.
On my next attempt at a Directors will leave more material and go for just a little creativity, this one I think is to slim and parallel.
However hope you like them please feel free to comment.

Now I love the shape of both of those pens Michael so disagree with being too slim, it works for my eyes anyway

Both look nice to me. I prefer door #1 (possibly Bocote ?) The grain is exceptional and you matched it very well. 👏 👏

Thank you Mark it is indeed Bocote a Wood I only discovered recently. I still favour a bit more shape.

I keep. stash of chocolate "emergency rations" for contemplative pauses ( or redesign opportunities when manure hits the fan ) in the workshop. Somedays it doesn't get touched, other weeks it gets hammered

Well as I am TYPE 2 Diabetic think I'll stick to a Cup of tea no sugar.

Wise decision. With recent (17 weeks now since we got her from the rescue ) border collie getting me out more I am starting to become a bit fitter and lose weight. My badminton has not improved sadly 😢
The better you control your weight and BMI the better the outcome and if you can reduce your MBI seriously it maybe possible to overcome the diabetes. Recent study showed this dramatically with people on very low calory diet getting down to under 25 BMI range and ceasing to be diabetic. Cant remember how many were in the study mind but ALL reported symptom improvement .

Well at 76 I still play golf but gave badminton up years ago.. I look after myself but at my age there as to be a life. I now have more life behind me than in front.
